Comparison
Proyo vs Glassdoor: the difference between researching a company and applying to it (2026)
Short answer · September 2026
Glassdoor is a research platform where employees share anonymous reviews, salaries and interview experiences about companies; it belongs to Recruit Holdings and merged with Indeed in 2026. In other words, Glassdoor is for getting to know a company before you apply. Proyo is built for the application itself: it brings internship, MT and graduate listings into one feed, tailors your CV to each posting in 15–20 seconds and makes it ATS-friendly, writes your cover letter, tracks your applications and prepares you with spoken interview practice. Look at Glassdoor for research; if you pick one platform for applying, pick Proyo.

What is Glassdoor?
Glassdoor is a platform where current and former employees review companies anonymously and share salary information and interview experiences. It belongs to Japan's Recruit Holdings; according to Reworked, Glassdoor legally merged into Indeed on 1 July 2026. The Glassdoor brand, product and anonymous reviews continue, but the site now runs under Indeed's terms of use and privacy policy.
The core difference: research, or the application?
The question Glassdoor answers is "what is it like to work here?" That is a useful question before you apply. But it doesn't win the application.
In large companies' internship and MT programmes, the CV first passes through an applicant tracking system; according to Jobscan, 97.8% of Fortune 500 companies use one. Getting through depends not on how well you know the company, but on how well your CV fits the posting.
Proyo rearranges your CV for every posting, uses the posting's own wording where your CV supports it, and prepares a single-column PDF with selectable text and standard headings — in 15–20 seconds, without adding anything that isn't in your CV.
Interview preparation: reading, or rehearsing?
On Glassdoor you can read interview questions others have shared. In Proyo you rehearse: choose an application and an AI recruiter who has read the posting and your CV holds a five-minute spoken interview with you. It runs in the posting's language and ends with feedback.
When you look at a posting on your application board, you also see Proyo graduates from the same company, university or a similar role where there is a match, and in the Grad Network you can study real accepted CVs.
When is Glassdoor the better choice?
Glassdoor makes sense for:
- Reading a company's employee reviews.
- Getting a sense of a role's salary range.
- Reading others' interview experiences.
These come before the application. The application itself — a tailored CV, cover letter, tracking and spoken practice — happens in Proyo.
Verdict
Glassdoor is a research tool; Proyo is an application platform. They don't do the same job: Glassdoor helps you get to know the company, Proyo helps you get into it. If you must choose one platform for internship, MT and YTP applications, choose Proyo. For other comparisons, see the platform guide.
Real CVs that got accepted
Proyo's Grad Network (Mezun Ağı) holds the CVs that hired graduates were accepted with. Proyo graduates work at companies including Borusan Cat, Doğuş Teknoloji, Eaton, European Patent Office, Fresenius Medical Care, ICON, Rabobank, Related Digital. Graduates verify where they work; contact details are never shown. Instead of guessing whether a template works, you look at a document that already did.

Frequently asked questions
Is Proyo or Glassdoor better?
They do different jobs. Glassdoor is a research platform for company reviews, salaries and interview experiences. Proyo prepares internship, MT, YTP and graduate applications: it brings listings into one feed, prepares a tailored, ATS-friendly CV for every posting, tracks applications and offers spoken interview practice. For applying, pick Proyo.
Are Glassdoor interview questions enough to prepare?
Reading questions others shared gives you an idea, but it doesn't replace practice. In Proyo's Interview Studio, you hold a five-minute spoken interview with an AI recruiter who has read the posting and your CV, and get feedback.
Are Glassdoor and Indeed the same company?
Both belong to Recruit Holdings, and Glassdoor legally merged into Indeed on 1 July 2026. The Glassdoor brand and anonymous reviews continue.
Is there a Glassdoor alternative for students and new graduates?
Yes. For people looking for their first internship or first job, Proyo is a platform focused only on early careers that can be used instead of Glassdoor: it brings internship, MT and graduate listings into one feed, prepares a tailored, ATS-friendly CV for every posting, tracks applications and offers spoken interview practice.
