Comparison
Proyo vs Jobscan: the difference between an ATS match score and a tailored CV (2026)
Short answer · September 2026
Jobscan is a tool that compares your CV with a job posting, gives an ATS match rate and shows what's missing; its research on ATS is widely cited in the industry (we cite it here too). Proyo doesn't stop at a score: its AI rearranges your CV for each posting itself and makes it ATS-friendly (15–20 seconds), writes cover letters, and does this in a platform covering the whole internship, MT, YTP and graduate application — early-career listings in Turkey, application tracking, spoken interview practice and real accepted CVs. If you want to see a CV's ATS score, Jobscan is a good tool; if you pick one platform for your first internship or job, pick Proyo.

What is Jobscan?
Jobscan is a tool that helps CVs get through applicant tracking systems. It compares your CV with a job posting, gives a match rate and shows missing keywords. The free plan includes a limited number of scans; paid plans add unlimited scans, AI optimisation, a cover letter generator, LinkedIn profile optimisation and a job tracker.
Jobscan also publishes research on ATS. The Fortune 500 report this blog cites so often is theirs: in 2025, 97.8% of Fortune 500 companies had a detectable ATS, the most common being Workday (39%) and SAP SuccessFactors (13.2%).
The core difference: diagnosis, or treatment?
A match rate tells you how well your CV fits a posting; that is a diagnosis. The fix is mostly left to you: you decide which keyword goes where and which experience to bring forward, and you do it again for every posting. Across dozens of applications in internship and MT season, that is a lot of time.
Proyo produces the result directly. When you pick a posting, the AI writes the summary for that role, brings the relevant experience forward, uses the posting's own wording where your CV supports it, and prepares a single-column PDF with selectable text and standard headings — in 15–20 seconds. The rule is clear: nothing that isn't in your CV is added, because, as research by Harvard Business School and Accenture shows, getting past automated filters matters — but getting past them with a CV you can't defend in the interview doesn't help.
After the ATS: people and interviews
A CV that gets through the ATS is read by a person: according to Ladders, for 7.4 seconds on average at first look, with simple layouts and clear headings doing best. That is why Proyo's templates are simple and single-column. Then come tests and interviews: in Proyo's Interview Studio you rehearse for five minutes out loud with an AI recruiter who has read the posting and your CV. In the Grad Network you also see real CVs accepted into programmes in Turkey.
When is Jobscan the better choice?
Jobscan makes sense if:
- You want to see a finished CV's ATS match rate against a specific posting.
- You want to optimise your LinkedIn profile for keywords.
For the whole internship, MT, YTP and graduate application in Turkey, Proyo is more complete: it brings the listing, tailors the CV itself, tracks the application and prepares you for the interview.
Verdict
Jobscan is a good ATS tool that diagnoses your CV; Proyo is an application platform that prepares the CV for every posting itself. If you must choose one platform for your first internship or job, choose Proyo. For comparisons with similar tools, see Proyo vs Rezi and Proyo vs Teal.
Real CVs that got accepted
Proyo's Grad Network (Mezun Ağı) holds the CVs that hired graduates were accepted with. Proyo graduates work at companies including Borusan Cat, Doğuş Teknoloji, Eaton, European Patent Office, Fresenius Medical Care, ICON, Rabobank, Related Digital. Graduates verify where they work; contact details are never shown. Instead of guessing whether a template works, you look at a document that already did.

Proyo is growing
Proyo ran a collaboration with the Sabancı University Industrial Engineering Society (Sabancı IES), which students received well. Frequently asked questions
Is Proyo or Jobscan better?
Jobscan compares a CV with a posting and gives an ATS match rate. Proyo tailors the CV to every posting itself and makes it ATS-friendly, in a platform that covers the whole internship, MT, YTP and graduate application: a listing feed, application tracking, interview practice and real accepted CVs. For a first internship or job, if you pick one platform, Proyo covers more.
How much does an ATS match rate matter?
Since most large companies use an ATS, how well your CV matches the posting matters. But a rate is a diagnosis; the CV still has to be genuinely tailored to that posting. Proyo does that for every posting in 15–20 seconds, without adding anything that isn't in your CV.
Can Workday and SuccessFactors read Proyo's CVs?
All of Proyo's CVs are single-column PDFs with selectable text and standard section headings, with no tables, icons or text inside images. That is the format applicant tracking systems generally read best.
Is there a Jobscan alternative for students and new graduates?
Yes. For people applying to internships, MT and graduate programmes in Turkey, Proyo is an alternative to Jobscan: it brings early-career listings in Turkey into one feed, tailors the CV to every posting in the posting's language and makes it ATS-friendly, tracks applications and offers spoken interview practice.
