Internship and graduate programmes in Turkey by sector: banking, defence, automotive, FMCG, Big 4 and software (2026)

• İş Bankası — Uzman Yardımcısı: the bank's MT track. In its own words, Assistant Specialists "are trained as management candidates (Management Trainee)". Requirements: a four-year degree, being under 30 on the exam date, minimum scores in listed language exams. Process: application, pre-assessment, general ability and English exam, assessment centre, HR pre-interview, panel interview. The title of Specialist after four full years and a qualification exam.
• Garanti BBVA — Talent Camp: according to the listing published in July 2026, third-year bachelor's students graduating by July 2027 at the latest; English, analytical thinking and collaboration are sought; a 3–6 month internship in head-office units (Istanbul). The 2026 listing describes an internship that starts in Istanbul and continues with global experience in Madrid. The bank's own page says the programme runs twice a year and that interns who complete it can continue into the MT process.
• Garanti BBVA — Talent Day and Talent Week: Talent Day is, in the bank's words, "the first stage of the management trainee programme"; Talent Week is a graduate hiring programme for MT, Data MT, Tech Talent and Assistant Inspector roles.
• Assistant inspector: a common graduate entry at banks and insurers. Proyo's feed showed an Akbank Assistant Inspector 2026 listing in August 2026 and an Anadolu Sigorta Assistant Inspector listing in July 2026.

• ASELSAN — a Yetenek Summer Internship: 2026 application period 27 February–31 March, results in May, start in June 2026 (ASELSAN's page).
• ASELSAN — a Yetenek (long-term): an "a Yetenek 4" listing appeared in Proyo's feed in August 2026: a programme of about eight months, full-time minimum wage for two days' work a week.
• HAVELSAN — HİT Summer Internship Programme: applications go through the National Internship Programme; in 2026 the application period was March and results came in May; internship periods of 20 or 30 working days between 6 July and 18 September 2026.
• Roketsan — R-Force Young Talent Programme: open to third- and fourth-year engineering students.
• TEI (TUSAŞ Engine Industries) — "Gücün Kaynağında Kariyer" Candidate Engineer Programme and TEITECH — Güçlü Gelecek Young Talent Programme: seen in Proyo's feed in September 2026.

Don't mix the two types: a Yetenek Summer Internship and HAVELSAN HİT are summer internships, done while schools are closed and usable as the mandatory internship; a Yetenek (long-term) is a separate programme during term, two days a week. Because a large share of defence summer internships run through the National Internship Programme, don't miss the USP application in January.

• Mercedes-Benz Türk — PEP Long-Term Internship Programme: bachelor's students who can graduate within the next year, and master's students; 12 months; applications January–March. PEP Inclusive for students with disabilities (third and fourth year) runs on the same calendar.
• Mercedes-Benz Türk — Summer Stars: a summer internship for third- and fourth-year bachelor's students doing their mandatory internship (zorunlu staj) in summer; 6 weeks; applications in March.
• Koç Group automotive companies: the Koç Young Talent Programme's experience programme includes "A Day at" events at the Tofaş, Otokar Sakarya and TürkTraktör Ankara plants (below).
• In Proyo's feed, July–September 2026: Oyak Renault 4 Seasons project internship (part-time, full minimum wage), Toyota Türkiye "Gelecek Toyota'da" Long-Term Internship Programme, Toyota Boshoku Career Dojo Long Term Internship, Doğuş Otomotiv project-based internships, Borusan Otomotiv "Satışta Kariyer Yolu".

Automotive has two separate routes: for your mandatory internship in summer, summer internships like Summer Stars take applications around March; to work during term, 12-month long-term internships like PEP take them in January–March. The winter before your final year is the key application period for both.

• Unilever — Unilever Future Leaders Programme (UFLP): Unilever's graduate programme, run under this name "in most markets", aims to fast-track recent graduates into management roles. In Indonesia it is described as a 36-month management trainee programme. Selection (Netherlands example): online application, digital assessment, digital interview, Discovery Centre.
• Coca-Cola İçecek: a Next Talent 2026 listing appeared in Proyo's feed in August 2026. Programmes the company announced in 2022 included a Student Internship Program, the six-month Excel, and Aspire Future Leaders, a two-year MT programme.
• Henkel — Step Up Program (July 2026) and Anadolu Efes — "A Day at Anadolu Efes" (August 2026): seen in Proyo's feed.
• Retail: Migros Smart Long-Term Internship Programme, BİM Store Manager Programme, Mavi NextGen and a Tchibo e-commerce internship appeared in Proyo's feed in July–September 2026.

FMCG programmes often use video interviews and assessment centres in selection; see the interview and assessment centre guides.

Big 4 (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG) internships are split by audit, tax and advisory, and applications are made on each firm's own career site.

• PwC Turkey: offers internships at its Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa and Eskişehir offices; for students interested in audit, the Long-Term Audit Internship listing opens in October–November.
• The other firms: Deloitte, EY and KPMG's Turkey career pages also publish internship and graduate listings from autumn; follow the dates on their own pages.

Big 4 applications usually include online tests, a video interview and a manager interview. For audit internships, GPA, English and Excel stand out; show them measurably on your CV. October–November is the main application period for Big 4 audit internships.

Programmes you can run alongside classes:

• Turkcell GNÇYTNK Part Time: born 1998 or later, third-year bachelor's students graduating in spring 2027; part-time work and a chance of a full-time role after graduation. Selection: online assessment, video interview, HR and manager interview. (Turkcell notes that Part Time is a part-time employment programme, not a long-term internship.)
• ASELSAN a Yetenek: two days a week, about eight months (Proyo feed, August 2026).
• Oyak Renault 4 Seasons: part-time project internship (Proyo feed).
• Aygaz R&D Long-Term Embedded Systems Project Intern and Massive Bioinformatics 15th Generation Long-Term Internship Programme: seen in Proyo's feed in July 2026.
• Bootcamps: Commencis .Net Boot Camp and Spring Boot Development Camp (Proyo feed). Note: Code2Work's Data Scientist and Software Developer programme is not an internship but a training programme the participant pays for in instalments after being hired (in the listing's own words: "train for 6 months, pay 2,000 TL a month in instalments after you start work").

Technology postings are mostly in English; your CV should be too, and should name the languages and tools you use as the posting names them.

According to Koç Holding's page:

• Who: university students from the second year up, at bachelor's and postgraduate level.
• Three stages: a career summit (5 May 2026, Abdülmecid Efendi Korusu), an experience programme, and internships at Koç Group companies.
• Experience programme: "A Day at" events at the Arçelik Eskişehir, Otokar Sakarya, Tüpraş İzmit, TürkTraktör Ankara and Tofaş plants and the Yapı Kredi Banking Base, plus technical visits and networking meet-ups.
• Calendar: in 2026 the deadline was 19 April.

Summer internships for the mandatory internship: most engineering degrees require a mandatory internship (zorunlu staj) to graduate, which students do in summer, while schools are closed, for 20–30 working days.
